No ads. No investors. No data sold.

Most projects asking for money say “help cover our costs” without saying what those are. Here are mine, from an actual week.

Not counted here: my time, my tools, or my coffee. Those are mine.

Hosting a map is close to free now — three hundred thousand database reads cost twelve cents. What costs money is making the map right: every address checked, every duplicate removed, every closed store pulled off.

Nothing here is bulk-imported and left alone. Casey’s went from 1,500 records to 2,400 real ones. Kwik Trip went down by 500 when double-counted stores got cleaned out. That work is the product, and it’s the only part with a bill attached.

Three ways to help

Buy something

The Collector Series — shirts and hoodies printed with the Road Trip card artwork, numbered. Four out of the set so far. You get a thing, the map gets funded.

Shop the store

Leave a tip

One-time, no account needed, Apple Pay works. $30 funds the next thousand verified addresses — and I’ll post which ones.

Tip on Ko-fi

Send it directly

If you’d rather skip the middleman.

Cash App

Rather not spend anything? Tell someone. A share does more than a tip — a tip buys a thousand addresses, a person who tells three friends builds the thing that makes them worth having. Then rate a bathroom, confirm a store’s hours, send in a place that’s missing. That’s the part I can’t buy.

The promise

No ads, ever. Not banners, not sponsored pins, not a chain paying to look cleaner than it is. The moment a business can pay to change what the map says, the map is worthless. That’s the whole reason this page exists.
